Statement on Gender Balance at EPDIC19
The EPDIC19 Organizing Committee, which itself is composed according to the gender balance policy, fully supports and promotes gender equality in accordance to the IUCr principle. We will ensure, as far as possible, equal opportunities for male and female delegates at EPDIC19 in Crans-Montana.
This is reflected in a drafted program where:
Three of the six plenary lectures will be given by female researchers
Over 40% of microsymposia chairs are female, which will contribute to ensure gender equality among our lecturers and participants.
Special attention will be paid to the application of IUCr criteria for gender balance when awarding student bursaries.
